Whoopi Goldberg to DeSantis: Gay Folks Will Rise Up and Fight for What they Need, ‘That’s What’s Coming’

By Iron Will / May 24, 2023 /

Whoopi Goldberg told her co-hosts Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” that Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R-FL) presidential bid will have to deal with “gay folks” rising up and fighting for what they need.

Discussing DeSantis’ presidential announcement, Goldberg said, “He has to work on, be articulate, so we know what you’re talking about. I don’t understand. I didn’t know what he was saying. Look, you know what, this idea of announcing on Twitter. I’m old and I’m okay being old, do that on television. Okay? I want to see you do it on television. I want to see you actually take real Americans’ questions. That’s what I want. I don’t want to dislike you. I can’t help it, because you you don’t give me any reason, because I don’t understand why do you dislike people of color?”

L.A. Catholics Slam Dodgers for Honoring Anti-Catholic Bigots in Drag

By Iron Will / May 24, 2023 /

The Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles has denounced a decision by the L.A. Dodgers to award the anti-Catholic “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”

“The decision to honor a group that clearly mocks the Catholic faith and makes light of the sincere and holy vocations of our women religious,” declares a statement from the archdiocese, “has caused disappointment, concern, anger, and dismay from our Catholic community.”

The archdiocese “calls on all Catholics and people of goodwill to stand against bigotry and hate in any form and to stand for respect for one another and for the religious beliefs of our communities of faith,” it states.

The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights similarly censured the Dodgers for having “officially endorsed anti-Catholic bigotry” by reinviting this “anti-Catholic homosexual drag group.”

‘The Vast Majority Are Not Insane Leftists!’ — Jordan B. Peterson to Mandiner

By Iron Will / May 24, 2023 /

Inequality is built into the structure of the world. It is written in the gospel: the poor will always be with us.

Everything is unequal: a few rivers have all the water, a few stars have all the mass, a few writers sell all the books, etc, it is just everywhere. Wherever there is creative variation there is radical inequality. It is a law.

You had a crash on some issues with Pope Francis on Twitter. What was that about?

Pope Francis is a social justice warrior. He said some good things about the gender war, but thinks that Christianity is a social justice enterprise. It is not. Christ was not a political figure, full stop. Liberation theology is basically Marxism with a Christian brand. But there is no such thing as Marxism with a Christian brand. You could not formulate two doctrines that were more opposed to each other. Instead Christians should be concerned with the amelioration of suffering. Including poverty. The leftist notion that we can cure poverty by distributing money, you saw how well that worked in the Soviet Union. You can make rich people poor with socialism but you cannot make poor people rich.

Would Target Drugs By Mail

By Iron Will / May 23, 2023 /

Attorney General David Lametti says he will review changes in federal law to allow postal inspectors to open suspicious letters. The Canada Post Corporation Act states inspectors may only open larger packages suspected of carrying contraband.

“It is important not only to law enforcement but also important to the protection of human rights and rights to privacy under the Charter,” said Lametti. “It is a little trickier than a package so it needs more time.”

Testifying at the Senate legal and constitutional affairs committee, Lametti said current regulations that prohibit inspection of letters up to 30 grams would have to be rewritten. “I am open to looking at it,” he said.

BREAKING: Johnston advises against public inquiry of Chinese election interference

By Iron Will / May 23, 2023 /

Special rapporteur David Johnston stopped short of calling for a public inquiry on Chinese election interference because of classified material would make it impossible.

But Johnston gave five other recommendations Tuesday morning.

First, Johnston said foreign government interference is a “real and growing threat.”

Second, the media “misconstrued” their reporting of the relevant intelligence reports.

Third, there are “serious shortcomings” in transferring intelligence from the security agencies to the federal government.

CENSORED: Scene of man wanting to be a woman scrapped from Monty Python production

By Iron Will / May 23, 2023 /

When Monty Pythons’ movie The Life of Brian hit movie screens in 1979, it ignited a chorus of controversy because of its religious satire theme, drawing accusations of blasphemy and protests from some religious groups.

Thirty-nine local authorities in the United Kingdom either imposed an outright ban or imposed an X (18 years and older only) certificate.

Python lovers would likely call it one the comedy group’s best films, perhaps best known for the hit tune Always Look on the Bright Side of Life and a scene that is suddenly being attacked by the woke folk.

John Cleese and Eric Idle, founding members of Monty Python, have been working on a live version of the movie, says Brodigan on the Louder with Crowder website.

“Former Monty Python members John Cleese and Eric Idle are working on a stage production of The Life of Brian,” says Brodigan.

“Though I don’t think anyone is a ‘former’ Python member. Kinda like once a Marine, always a Marine. The story is based on the 1979 film satirizing the life of Jesus Christ. You can still do that in 2023, but one thing you can’t do in 2023 has been cut out of the play.”

You can’t mock men claiming they can have babies, says Brodigan, like they do in this scene where a man named Stan wants to have a baby and wants to be called Loretta.

‘Resentful and Bitter,’ Jordan Peterson condemns Rachel Notley’s NDP at Alberta rally Dr. Jordan Peterson labeled Rachel Notley’s NDP as “resentful and bitter” at his Take Back Alberta event.

By Iron Will / May 23, 2023 /

With just one week to go until Alberta’s provincial election, Peterson was more political than usual.

“Alberta is facing a very interesting election. It’s an election of international significance,” he said.

“You’ve got 10 days on a close election, and if the net zero types win, you’ll get exactly what you deserve. The whole world will,” Peterson added.

Peterson told the rally goers to call everyone they know and get them involved to take action against Rachel Notley’s NDP.

The Counter Signal’s Editor-in-Chief Keean Bexte attended the event, calling the atmosphere “edgy.”

“It’s like a Trump rally,” Bexte tweeted.

He added, “REMINDER: @jordanbpeterson and Rachel Notley grew up together. He called her party, and it’s members ‘resentful and bitter and false.’”

Commentator and author Rex Murphy also spoke at the event. Murphy told the crowd his pronouns were “The carbon tax is horseshit.”

Italian PM calls Trudeau “victim of fake news” Trudeau might want to think twice before he criticizes Meloni in public again.

By Iron Will / May 23, 2023 /

On Thursday during the G7 leaders summit in Japan, Prime Minister Trudeau called out Meloni as she sat next to him with a stunned look on her face.

“Canada is concerned about some of the positioning that Italy is taking in terms of LGBT rights, but I look forward to talking with you,” Trudeau said in front of reporters and Meloni.

Meloni and Trudeau later spoke behind closed doors. Since then, she has responded to Trudeau’s criticism by stating that since she’s become PM, her government hasn’t passed any legislation related to LGBT rights.

Meloni said Trudeau’s remark “doesn’t correspond to reality.”
