The German physician and author Sucharit Bhakdi has been acquitted of charges of incitement to hatred. In its judgment on Tuesday, the district court in Plön in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein rated speeches by the accused during the corona pandemic as not punishable. The Attorney General’s Office had accused Bhakdi of hate speech on two counts.
