Navy Twitter Account Features Rainbow-Colored Graphic for Pride Month

By Iron Will / June 2, 2023 /

The United States Navy’s official Twitter account temporarily changed its cover photo to a rainbow-colored graphic Thursday to kick off the beginning of Pride Month, according to screenshots posted on Twitter.

The graphic featured ships and aircraft with rainbow colors streaming from them, along with the word “Pride” in different colors.

The account later changed the cover photo to a view of a ship deck from a control tower. However, during the time the Pride graphic was shown, the service received some flak.

“Why are recruiting numbers so bad???” one Twitter account by the name @BowTiedRanger tweeted, along with a screenshot of the Navy account’s graphic.

Walk-Outs and ‘Pray-Ins’ Oppose Pride Month Kickoff in Schools Across Canada

By Iron Will / June 2, 2023 /

TORONTO—As Pride Month kicked off on June 1, many Christians in Canada kept their children home from school to avoid events that don’t align with their faith.

A mother with a son in the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) in Aurora, Ont., pulled him out of school June 1 when she heard Pride Month was being celebrated in his high school, despite a much-publicized decision by the board not to fly the pride flag this month.

“You don’t need to raise some students by putting others down,” she told the Epoch Times. She preferred to give a pseudonym, Anna, to protect her son’s privacy. Anna is raising her son to have compassion for all people, she said, but to adhere to the Catholic faith’s view of marriage and sexuality—a view she sees as under attack even in the Catholic school system.

Maxime Bernier suggests ‘pride month’ alternative dedicated to not ‘pushing’ gender confusion

By Iron Will / June 2, 2023 /

‘It’s so-called #PrideMonth. Can we also have a month dedicated to not pushing your sex life, sexual fetishes, and gender confusion in everyone’s face, and on children in particular?’ the People’s Party of Canada leader asked.
People’s Party of Canada (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier blasted the oversaturation of extreme transgender ideology on full display during “pride month,” notably when it comes to targeting kids, saying there should also be a month dedicated to not “pushing” one’s “gender confusion in everyone’s face.”

“It’s so-called #PrideMonth. Can we also have a month dedicated to not pushing your sex life, sexual fetishes, and gender confusion in everyone’s face, and on children in particular,” Bernier tweeted yesterday.

No Xe/Xir without parental consent, says Minister of Educati

By Iron Will / June 2, 2023 /

New Brunswick’s Minister of Education is considering requiring parental consent before teachers are permitted to call their children with random pronouns — something that teachers are currently allowed to do.

Minister Bill Hogan has not provided comment on the matter while the policy is under review, but admitted parental backlash sparked the debate.

But Hogan did confirm he’s reviewing Policy 713, made to support LGBT students, “after hearing concerns and misunderstandings of its implementation.”

One section under review says that teachers need to respect students’ preferred pronouns, even if the child declines to inform his or her parents.

For students under 16, schools are required to ask parents for consent before changing a child’s name on a report card and other official documents.
