Seven weeks after the final day of hearings, the National Citizens’ Inquiry is thanking its supporters for freedom from its debts.

Supreme Court Rules for Christian Bakers in First Amendment Case

The Supreme Court ruled on June 30 in favor of Christian bakers who said Oregon’s law requiring them to make cakes to celebrate same-sex weddings infringed on their constitutional rights.

The decision came hours after the nation’s highest court issued a landmark 6–3 ruling in favor of Christian website designer Lorie Smith of 303 Creative who said a Colorado law that punished her for refusing to create websites for same-sex weddings violated her First Amendment rights.

A recent ruling by the Canadian Armed Forces Grievance Board (CAFGB) found that the Canadian Armed Force’s (CAF) mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy violated the Charter rights of a member who was released for refusing to get vaccinated.

The CAFGB is in charge of reviewing official grievances launched by CAF members.

In its ruling, the CAFGB stated that the CAF’s vaccination policy infringed on the member’s right to liberty and security of the person under Section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The watchdog also found that the policy, which came in place at the height of the pandemic via an order by General Wayne Eyre, was arbitrary, overly broad and disproportionate.

A wheelchair tennis executive was sacked after she refused to get a Covid vaccine despite the Government ending nearly all restrictions at the time, a tribunal heard.

Sarah Synan sued the International Tennis Federation (ITF) after it enforced “particularly severe restrictions” against her when she fell foul of its “hard line” Covid policy by refusing to get a shot.

Sask town sets ‘dinosaur dance’ Guinness World Record on Canada Day

Over 1,100 people wore inflatable dinosaur costumes in a Saskatchewan town on Canada Day to shatter a Guinness World Record.

The town of Dundurn has 670 people, yet 1,187 people gathered on Canada Day to put on dinosaur costumes. Dundurn Dino Day, organized by Big Murs Tavern, tripled the former record of 380 set in Portland, Oregon in 2022.
