Poilievre roasts Trudeau for infamous teaching scandal Trudeau tries to insult Poilievre and instantly regrets it.

By Iron Will / May 31, 2023 /

The Conservative Party of Canada leader roasted Prime Minister Trudeau over his infamous teaching scandal, where the former high school teacher left in the middle of the semester for unclear reasons.
Trudeau proudly confirmed that he was a high school teacher before he entered politics, and said he couldn’t remember what Poilievre did before politics — a dig at the Conservative leader for being a lifelong politician.

Poilievre responded, “Yes and he left right in the middle of the semester and I’m having trouble remembering why.”

Poilievre’s caucus erupted, and Trudeau ignored the comment.

Unconfirmed rumours have long made the rounds when it comes to Trudeau’s departure from West Point Grey while he was a high school teacher.
Rumours aside, one thing that can be confirmed is Trudeau inappropriately groped reporter Rose Knight about 20 years ago.

Canada’s GHG Cap Imposed on the Oil and Gas Industry is All Pain With No Gain

By Iron Will / May 31, 2023 /

This essay provides a rough estimate of the environmental benefits associated with
imposing the GHG cap on the oil and gas industry. We show that eliminating all GHG
emissions from the oil and gas sector in 2030 would reduce Canada’s projected GHG
emissions by 29 percent. This is not a trivial number, as an absolute value, even for a
single sector of Canada’s emitting industries.
However, when seen in a global context, even if Canada eliminated all of its GHG
emissions expected in the year 2030 as a result of the new greenhouse gas caps implemented by the current government (187 Mt), the emission reduction would equal fourtenths of one percent of global emissions, a reduction unlikely to have any impact on
the trajectory of the climate in any detectable manner, and hence, to offer only equally
undetectable environmental, health, or safety benefits

By Iron Will / May 31, 2023 /

Want to invest in the right-wing blowback to corporate diversity, equity and inclusion efforts? There’s a SPAC for that.

Driving the news: It’s called Colombier Acquisition Corp., and earlier this year agreed to merge with PublicSq, an online marketplace for companies in what it calls “the patriot economy.”

If the deal closes, the combined company’s board will include failed U.S. Senate candidate Blake Masters and former Mike Pence strategist Nick Ayers.
Why it matters: This comes at a moment when anti-LGBTQ activists have helped tank stock prices for companies like Anheuser-Busch InBev and Target.

Not Just Target: Walmart’s ESG Efforts Focus on Catering to LGBT Agenda ESG guidelines reward retailers for not just selling LGBT merchandise but buying from such suppliers

By Iron Will / May 30, 2023 /

Similar to Target, Walmart’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) report reveals that the company makes special provisions for LGBT groups, including specifically sourcing supplies from people professing such identities.

Target has been the focus of boycott calls due to offering Pride products this year aimed at children. Target’s 2022 ESG report (pdf) shows that at least 51 percent of its suppliers are “owned, controlled and operated by women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans or people with disabilities.” In addition, 59 percent of their Pride Month assortment was created by LGBT creators and brands.
