Eating Organic for 1 Week Reduced Glyphosate in Pregnant Women

By Roli / August 24, 2023 /

Just one week of an organic diet effectively reduces levels of the herbicide glyphosate in pregnant women’s urine, according to a study published in July in Environmental Health Perspectives.

The average reduction ranged from 25% to 30% and rose to 43% after the researchers excluded participants who did not perfectly comply with an all-organic diet.

Glyphosate, the active ingredient in the weedkiller RoundUp, is the most widely used pesticide in U.S. agriculture. Eighty percent of Americans have detectable levels of the chemical in their urine.

Next Pandemic Will Come From Meat, Harvard Study Predicts

By Roli / August 24, 2023 /

The idea that pathogens will jump species and kill humans is a useful scare tactic, and it’s now being pushed like never before under One Health — a global agenda that will allow unelected bureaucrats at the World Health Organization (WHO) to centralize power and make decisions relating to diet, agriculture and livestock farming, environmental pollution, movement of populations, health care and much more, for the entire world.

A report from Harvard Law School and New York University predicts the next pandemic is likely to emerge from the U.S. meat supply — or the fur trade, or a petting zoo, or from pets.

FCC Limits for Wireless Radiation Exposure Decades Out of Date, Experts Say

By Roli / August 24, 2023 /

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) largely bases its radiofrequency (RF) radiation safety standard for humans on a handful of studies done in the 1970s and 1980s — well before most people started using cellphones.

And those studies used small sample sizes, according to Devra Davis, Ph.D., MPH, founder and president of Environmental Health Trust (EHT) and Theodora Scarato, EHT’s executive director.

The FCC in 1996 set the human exposure safety limits for wireless RF radiation which, in turn, are now used in the U.S. for all phones, wireless products and networks, including cell towers and 5G.

Public Mistrusts Gov’t, Media

By Valerie / August 23, 2023 /

Fewer than a third of Canadians have “high trust” in the federal government, says in-house research by the Public Health Agency. Only “large media organizations” and celebrities scored lower on a trust scale.

“Trust, particularly in the government and health care sector, is central to the effectiveness of public health measures,” said an Agency report. “While respondents have a lot of trust in hospitals and health care workers, trust in the federal government (e.g. the Public Health Agency) is much lower.”

Drug Policy Unpopular: Feds

By Valerie / August 23, 2023 /

Canadians oppose cabinet’s “safe supply” drug policy, says in-house Privy Council research. The experimental decriminalization of opioids, cocaine and other narcotics for personal use in British Columbia only led to more drug addiction, said federal focus groups.

“Participants were mostly negative in their reaction to this decision and believed the federal government should instead be focused on discouraging opioid use including implementing greater penalties for those using and distributing these substances,” said a Privy Council report Continuous Qualitative Data Collection Of Canadians’ Views.
