The Alberta government has committed to achieving reconciliation with indigenous people.

To try to improve relationships with indigenous people, the Alberta government will be spending $30 million on indigenous community-owned businesses over the next three years through Budget 2024.

“What better way to celebrate 10 years of the Aboriginal Business Investment Fund (ABIF) than by increasing it to $10 million in annual funding,” said Alberta Indigenous Relations Minister Rick Wilson in a Wednesday press release.
