U.S. regulators are imposing further restrictions in the wake of news that fragments of the bird flu virus have been found in pasteurized milk in that country.

It’s the latest unnerving development that has followed positive tests among dairy cattle, although there has also been no suggestion that the presence of virus fragments found in some samples presents a danger.
