The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) is happy that the Mission Cultural Fund has been cancelled. This fund, part of Global Affairs, used taxpayers’ money wastefully, such as on a sex toy show in Germany and a photography exhibit for a rock star.
“This is a big win for taxpayers and it’s long overdue,” said Franco Terrazzano, federal director of the CTF.
“Paying for a sex toy show in Germany and flying chefs around the world was a huge waste of taxpayers’ money and Global Affairs should have shut this down years ago.”
The federal government released a statement without much attention stating that the Mission Cultural Fund had “expired on March 31, 2023.”

Target, one of the largest U.S. retailers, has been targeted by a boycott over its LGBTQ-friendly kids’ clothing, wiping out billions of dollars worth of stocks.
New York Post reported that Target lost $10 billion in market valuation over the last 10 days due to the backlash it received from its LGBTQ-themed kids’ clothing line.
Last Wednesday, Target’s stock value was at $160.96 a share, but its value sank and closed Friday at $138.93 a share — the retailer’s lowest stock price in nearly three years.

Megaplex, an Orlando-based convention dedicated to “people who enjoy dressing up as or making art of anthropomorphized creatures,” originally released a statement regarding their decision on Wednesday.
“Many have raised concerns about recent changes in Florida legislation. After reviewing Florida SB 1438 it has been decided that for legal reasons and protection of our attendees, our venue, and the overall convention, Megaplex 2023 attendees must be 18 years of age at the time of registration pickup,” the statement read.
The Protection of Children Act (SB 1438) specifically prohibits a person from “knowingly admitting a child to an adult live performance.” An adult live performance is defined as “any show, exhibition, or other presentation in front of a live audience which, in whole or in part, depicts or simulates nudity, sexual conduct, sexual excitement, or specific sexual activities.”

I attended because I wanted to hear firsthand what is being taught to my colleagues.
They said some wild stuff in the trainings. I will be sharing some of that here, but I will focus on why I believe that the trans activists know their narrative is under threat:
1) They said it: Linda K. Reeves, WPATH GEI Certified Gender Specialist, said she was afraid of the new bills being passed in the Republican states.
2) They asked the audience not to film their presentation because it’s a “tumultuous and hostile environment.”
3) This luncheon brought up many gender-critical talking points and attempted to debunk them, albeit very poorly. This leads me to believe that counter messages are being heard.
