Construction has begun on an $8 million monument called “Thunderhead” to celebrate queer people. It will be erected behind the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa.

Liberal Minister of Canadian Heritage Pascale St-Onge dug in the first ceremonial shovel at a ceremony Wednesday evening, as did Michelle Douglas, Executive Director of the LGBT Purge Fund.

Also in attendance at the construction site, located close to the Ottawa river at Wellington St. and the Portage Bridge, was the Winnipeg-based group that designed Thunderhead, members of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation and several other elected MPs.

Mohammed Most Popular Baby Boy’s Name in Berlin and Hamburg

By Valerie / May 7, 2024 /

Sophie and Noah were the most popular baby names in Germany last year, but in several regions including the national capital strong local variations exist, including the primacy of Mohammed for boys.

Germany’s state funded language institute has revealed its baby name statistics in 2023, and said Mohammed is the most popular boy’s name in a group of cities. The German statistics combine homophones, meaning Mohammed is counted alongside Mohamed, Muhammed, Mohammad, Muhammet, Muhamet, and others, in the same way it counts Sophia and Sofia together, which is the most popular girls’ name for 2023.

While Noah is the most popular boys’ name nationwide, German newspaper Die Welt notes buried within regional statistics Mohammed is the most popular name in Berlin, Hamburg, and Bremen. As reported by RBB24, Mohammed has now been the top name in Berlin for several years.

London Leftists Slash Tyres of Bus to Prevent Removal of Illegal Migrants from Britain

By Valerie / May 7, 2024 /

Open borders advocates on the streets and within the government itself have stepped up efforts to derail plans to finally remove some illegal migrants from the United Kingdom in the wake of the passage of legislation supposedly clearing the way for aliens to be sent to Rwanda.

On Thursday morning, leftist activists clad in coronavirus-style masks surrounded a bus to prevent migrants from being removed to the Bibby Stockholm oil rig worker accommodation barge floating off the coast of Dorset, which in addition to Rwanda is being used in lieu of putting migrants up at taxpayer expense in British hotels while their asylum claims are being processed.

Although the migrants being taken to the Bibby Stockholm were not reportedly se

Nolte: Ex-CNN Reporter and Fabulist Freaks over Dinner with ‘MAGAts’

By Valerie / May 7, 2024 /

Michelle Kosinski, a former CNN White House correspondent, revealed who these intolerant, bigoted corporate media people truly are in a series of tweets where she melted down over a recent dinner with people she describes as “closeted” “MAGAts.”

”MAGAts,” of course, is a slur aimed at us Trump supporters.

Here’s her “horror story” of discovering some people at her table don’t vote or think in the only way this fascist approves of [emphasis added]:

Let the Neurodivergent Children Come to Me Gentle parenting is one tool to train up children who have disabilities with love and wisdom.

By Valerie / May 7, 2024 /

As a toddler, my son would often lash out at other kids for no apparent reason, causing incidents at daycare, at home, and in the church nursery. At times, he would even hurt himself in his distress. After more than a year of trying to encourage the “right” behavior, I felt like this was more than age-appropriate tantrums.

We sought an evaluation, and our son received multiple diagnoses that confirmed he’s neurodivergent, a term that commonly encompasses brain-based differences such as ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, and more.

One way to consider how my

Rogers begins the article sharing some pertinent observations:

The use of phrases such as “pregnant people” or “penis owners” in cultural or political discourse is sometimes met with confusion, or even anger. Why use these terms when, as some people ask, “only women can get pregnant” or when “only m

A Holocaust remembrance day like no other We don’t just commemorate a great evil. We’re still living through it

By Valerie / May 7, 2024 /

Today in Israel was Yom Hashoah, Israel’s Holocaust remembrance day. At 10 o’clock this morning the siren sounded and the country came to a halt. People stood in the streets with their heads bowed; on the motorways, the traffic came to a complete halt and drivers stepped out of their vehicles to stand in silence.

This, though, was a Yom Hashoah like no other. It was impossible, when thinking about the extermination of the Jews in the Nazi Holocaust, not to see the images in the forefront of all our minds: the genocidal pogrom in southern Israel on October 7 when Palestinians led by Hamas slaughtered 1200 Israelis and kidnapped 240 others into Gaza, where no more than 133 (and maybe many fewer) still remain alive.

By Valerie / May 7, 2024 /

As May takes hold, the crisis brewing inside America’s political system shows no signs of abating; if anything, recent events have only confirmed how serious things have become. On May Day itself, the police moved in to quash the occupation at Columbia University in New York. Many miles from there, on the other side of the continent, their peers helplessly watched on as counter-protestors at UCLA set off fireworks and attacked a pro-Palestinian encampment.

Both incidents foreshadowed the looming crisis that awaits the Democratic Party, whose convention in August is ominously slated to be held in Chicago. In 1968, the jamboree was also held in th
