Rapper Meek Mill Says Hummer EV Brake Pedal Failed Before Crash: It Almost Killed Me

By Valerie / April 24, 2024 /

Rapper Meek Mill says he wishes he never bought his new Hummer Electric Vehicle because, he says, it almost killed him.

The Dreamchasers rapper had posted about his auto wreck back in March when he posted a photo of the smashed-up Hummer.

But now he is going into more detail on what he claims happened, saying that the brake pedal fell off and adding that the car even started driving forward when it was supposed to be in park, TMZ reported.

Mill, who was pardoned by PA Democrat Gov. Tom Wolfe last year on drug charges, also said that even the airbags did not deploy when the brake pedal fell off and he smashed the front end.

Marginal Effective Tax Rates for Working Families in Canada

By Valerie / April 24, 2024 /

his report provides a cross-provincial analysis of the marginal effective tax rates (METRs) faced by working families across Canada, highlighting the significant impact these rates have on low- to middle-income earners.
Individuals and families with modest incomes, particularly those earning between $30,000 and $60,000, face the highest METRs. In Quebec, for example, the METR for a representative family within this income range is as high as 53%.
The structure of METRs across provinces results in very low net-of-tax returns for earnings in the low- to middle-income range for Canadians. This creates a disincentive for earning additional income, as the financial benefits are significantly offset by increased taxes and reduced transfer benefits.

From Bird Flu to Climate Snakes

By Valerie / April 24, 2024 /

Seasoned veterinarians and livestock producers alike have been scratching their heads trying to understand the media’s response to the avian flu. Headlines across every major news outlet warn of humans becoming infected with the “deadly” bird flu after one reported case of pink-eye in a human.

The entire narrative is predicated upon a long-disputed claim that Covid-19 was the result of a zoonotic jump—the famed Wuhan bat wet-market theory.

While the source of Covid is hotly contested within the scientific community, the policy vehicle at the center of this dialectic began years prior to Sars-CoV-2 and is quite resolute in force and effect.

Canadians’ prosperity will be harmed unless the federal government manages to raise productivity, former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney has warned.

Aspartame Classified as ‘Possibly Carcinogenic’

By Iron Will / April 24, 2024 /

STORY AT-A-GLANCE
Aspartame breaks down into methanol in your body, which is not safely bound like it is in fruits and vegetables. This can lead to symptoms of methanol poisoning, such as headaches, dizziness and vision problems
Unlike animals, humans lack the protective mechanism to effectively convert methanol into harmless formic acid. Instead, it’s converted into carcinogenic formaldehyde
The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified aspartame as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” (Group 2B) in the summer of 2023
Aspartame has been linked to various health issues beyond cancer, including metabolic disorders, neurological symptoms, mood disturbances, and exacerbated cortisol production which can adversely impact your neurobehavioral health, immune function and more
To determine whether aspartame is to blame for your health problems, eliminate all artificial sweeteners from your diet for at least two weeks, then reintroduce it at high dosage to gauge your sensitivity

By Iron Will / April 24, 2024 /

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning over an alleged “bird flu” contamination in the American food supply.
