Just over half of Americans say that they support the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, a recent poll found as the issue takes center stage in the race for the presidency.
A slim majority of Americans, 51 percent, said that they support the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, a policy that former President Donald Trump has promised if he is reelected to the presidency in November. Support for mass deportations varied widely by partisan affiliation, with 68 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of Independents, and 42 percent of Democrats in support of the measure.
The poll of 6,251 people, performed by The

Starting this fall, international students can work a maximum of 24 hours a week off campus, down from the current 40 hours during the school year.
Immigration Minister Marc Miller said the federal government will restore the weekly work-hour ceiling, which was lifted during the pandemic to allow international students to ease Canada’s labour shortage and reduce the financial burden that students faced amid the rising costs of living.
“It was a successful measure in helping our economy recover from the pandemic and is therefore no longer necessary,” Miller told reporters during a scrum Monday. “To be clear, the purpose of the international student program is to study and not to work.”

Read MoreQ: Who said “A mere recital of the economic policies of governments all over the world is calculated to cause any serious student of economics to throw up his hands in despair”? A: Just about anyone who ever looked at them, including the Canadian and Ontario first ministers emptying the treasury into the pockets of multinational corporations. For instance, the $2.5 billion Justin Trudeau and Doug Ford each just shovelled into Honda as if it were chump change.
But then why all the free money? Honda has annual revenue around $125 billion, so if a Canadian factory were justified on its merits, they could find the cash.

As the prime minister was about to address the crowd, people in the crowd could be heard shouting about Khalistan, the independent state that Sikh separatists wish to create in India’s Punjab.
Canada is home to the largest population of Sikhs outside of India, and New Delhi routinely criticizes Canada for allowing Sikh separatists to organize.
“The Government of India’s deep concern and strong protest was conveyed at such disturbing actions being allowed to continue unchecked at the event,” India’s Ministry of External Affairs said in its latest statement on the issue.

Earlier this month, the New Brunswick Association of Chiefs of Police sent a letter to petroleum retailers across the province, saying the change was needed because there are more effective ways of dealing with the steady increase in fuel thefts. The change took effect April 15.

Read MoreThere will now be a section added to the Bank of Canada Act, and it reads as follows:
Bank mandate
4.1 The mandate of the Bank is to ensure the financial stability of Canada and of Canadian financial institutions and to promote sustainable and equitable prosperity and the well-being of all Canadians.
What exactly is “sustainable and equitable prosperity”? It’s not defined, so we’ll have to guess with this. “Sustainable” is probably being used in reference to playing along with the climate change scam. And “equitable prosperity” sounds like a fancy word for massive wealth redistribution.
One can certainly debate the value of the Bank of Canada, or the Bank for International Settlements. But why is crypto-Communist language being put into this Act?
