With its “safer supply” approach to addiction, Canada’s federal government is giving out large amounts of hydromorphone—a drug that’s too mild to satisfy many addicts but powerful enough to attract the new drug-users getting ahold of it, says documentary filmmaker Aaron Gunn.
Each addict can receive dozens of pills daily, and many of them sell the hydromorphone to buy fentanyl, says Gunn, whose recently released film, “Canada Is Dying,” looks at the effects of “safer supply.” It’s often kids who are buying the hydromorphone, Gunn said.

Preventing runaway artificial intelligence from causing the extinction of humanity should be a top-level global priority, the nonprofit Center for AI Safety said in a statement on Tuesday signed by 350 prominent individuals in AI and related fields.
“Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war,” the statement reads.
Signers included Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who recently told Congress he was worried the technology could go “quite wrong” and urged them to impose regulations on the industry. The three industry leaders met with US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris earlier this month to discuss potential regulations. Numerous executives from their companies also added their names to Tuesday’s statement.

It is sheer craziness to treat pregnancy as a disease. What’s worse is using a vax that causes a healthy immune system to act counter to the way it should. Undoubtedly, this carries potential risks that no one can anticipate this early in the game.
According to these experts, exposing human tissue to this particular shot opens the door to autoimmune problems and severe inflammatory processes because the immune system has been trained to attack it.
