UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned Gaza was becoming “a graveyard for children” after the Hamas-controlled Palestinian health ministry said 6,000 children had died in the conflict.

Mustafa Barghouti, co-founder of the Palestinian National Initiative, told Sky News what was happening in Gaza was “genocide” and accused western media of repeating Israeli “lies” about the conflict.

More than 1,400 Israelis were killed in the 7 October Hamas attacks.

More than 10,000 people have been killed by Israel’s military response in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
