Iran says it has launched more than 100 drones and cruise missiles at Israel.

Israeli media report that some of the projectiles have been shot down over Jordan and Syria.

Iran had threatened to retaliate for an Israeli attack on one of its consulates in Syria.

The White House said US President Joe Biden would address the nation later.
