Wendy Sachs isn’t easily shocked. The New York filmmaker/author/journalist has seen plenty over the course of her career, from unravelling volatile politics in the corridors of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to chasing even more volatile tornadoes in the U.S. heartland. But Sachs, a former Forbes columnist and Emmy Award-winning TV producer, was shocked by what transpired in the U.S. on the heels of the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack, even prior to Israel’s military response in Gaza.
