A sports broadcaster has told how care home staff nailed a window shut and left her feeling ‘bullied and abused’ by refusing to let her see her mother.

Alison Walker’s parents both went into care after being diagnosed with dementia, the Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry heard yesterday.

She told Lord Brailsford’s investigation of her anger at restrictions which robbed her of precious time with them.
