Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s claim of “explosive” top secret evidence linking the Conservative Party to foreign agents was dismissed yesterday by the Commission on Foreign Interference. The Commission made a scant, two-paragraph reference to the claim in its 860-page report.

“I hear there are ongoing discussions on bringing intelligence reporting about foreign interference, including disinformation, to the attention of a political party,” wrote Commissioner Marie-Josée Hogue. “The Prime Minister spoke of one case where the national security advisor gave him information on significant potential foreign interference involving opposition parties.”
