Housing Minister Sean Fraser yesterday would not comment on complaints against an Ontario landlord he singled out for praise as an affordable housing provider. The landlord faces allegations of rent gouging in a tenants’ strike.

“My approach is pick up the phone, to call people, to meet them in person where it warrants and to actually talk through some of the challenges we are facing,” Fraser testified September 27 at the Commons human resources committee. Fraser would not say if he had contact with Dream Unlimited Corporation, a Toronto landlord and developer.
