Metro Vancouver charges its 18 member municipalities the same wholesale rate for drinking water, but the cost each municipality then charges its residents varies dramatically.

A glass of drinking water in Surrey, for instance, costs residents more than twice as much as their counterparts in Port Coquitlam.
