The Trudeau Liberals astonishingly voted against a motion that called to block the CBC bigwigs from giving themselves bonuses after the state broadcaster announced they are laying off 600 staff. The motion, which required unanimous support, was proposed by Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre.

It comes after CBC president Catherine Tait wouldn’t rule out giving herself and CBC executives bonuses this year, on the same day she announced she would be laying off 600 staff due to budget constraints.

The Trudeau Liberals immediately drowned Poilievre’s motion out before he could even finish it, all saying “No.”
