28-year-old soccer star Raphael Dwamena has died suddenly after suffering a fatal heart attack in the middle of a game.

La Liga has been left in mourning after the sad death of ex-Levante and Zaragoza player Dwamena.

The 28-year-old passed away after suffering from a fatal heart attack during a game on Saturday, his current club, Albanian side KF Egnatia, has confirmed.

The former Ghanaian international was playing for Egnatia on Saturday against Partizani Tirana when he collapsed in the 23rd minute of the game.

Medical staff attempted to treat Dwamena on the pitch.
