Mayor Jyoti Gondek took members of the city’s media on an uneventful ride on the CTrain Thursday morning to talk about how the city’s new transit safety initiatives are working.

Reporters climbed aboard a CTrain at City Hall station and rode it west, to 4th Street, where the mayor held a press conference with police, security and transit officials.
