By Valerie / April 15, 2024 /

The Conservative party’s plan to tie immigration numbers to available jobs and homes could result in a lower immigration target, an MP says.

Conservative immigration critic Tom Kmiec said a Conservative government wouldn’t set an arbitrary number, but rather one that takes into account what the country can sustainably accommodate. This could end up lowering immigration, he said.

Breaking down the lies in Trudeau’s testimony to the elections interference commission

By Iron Will / April 14, 2024 /

The prime minister’s testimony showed his embarrassing lack of familiarity with issues of Canadian national security.

On Friday night’s episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra brought on Sheila Gunn Reid to break down Justin Trudeau’s lies from his testimony on the public inquiry into Chinese election interference.

“What’s been happening this week at the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Foreign Interference in our elections is so shocking,” commented Ezra, “that if any of our so-called Five Eyes allies… were still taking Canada seriously, that would absolutely be extinguished after watching Justin Trudeau’s cavalier, and I would say childish, approach to national security.”

Many of the questions posed to Trudeau revolved around a document from the Canadian security service, CSIS, which specifically stated that China has been deceptively and clandestinely meddling in Canadian elections. The facts contained in this briefing note were delivered to Trudeau and the prime minister’s office, which he denied.

Bill Maher roasts Canada, calls the country a ‘cautionary tale’ of what the U.S. could be

By Iron Will / April 13, 2024 /

Comedian Bill Maher spent nearly 10 minutes of his HBO show Real Time skewering Canada for being more dysfunctional than the United States and a lesson in what America should avoid.

“If you want to save our country, we should follow the advice good liberals have given for decades and learn from other countries, especially those beacons of progressivism like Canada, England and Scandinavia,” the comedian said as he opened the segment.

Maher highlighted the lower unemployment rate in the United States, and Canada having more major cities with air pollution, to launch into a broader critique of how the latter was falsely seen as a liberal paradise for frustrated Americans in recent years.

“I’m not citing these stats because I have it out for Canada — I love Canada, its people, and always have — but I hate zombie lies,” Maher continued. “That’s when things change, but what people say about them doesn’t. Yes, for decades, places like Vancouver and Amsterdam and Stockholm seemed idyllic because everything was free and all the energy we needed was produced by riding a bike to your job at the windmill,” he joked.

‘Extreme Wokeness’: US Commentator Bill Maher Cites Canada as a Cautionary Tale

By Iron Will / April 13, 2024 /

American commentator Bill Maher says Canada serves as a “cautionary tale” when it comes to “extreme wokeness” and is an example of what happens when a country goes too far to the left of the political spectrum.

That’s just one among several criticisms Mr. Maher levelled at Canada in his program aired on April 12.

“If we want to save our country, we should follow the advice good liberals have given for decades and learn from other countries, especially those beacons of progressivism like Canada, England, and Scandinavia,” he said in a monologue. “I agree we should, as long as we’re honest about the lessons we’re learning and as long as we’re up to date on the current data.”

He then noted that the U.S. unemployment rate is 3.8 percent, while in Canada it’s 6.1 percent, a number that is verified by Statistics Canada.

CSIS Head Says He Warned Trudeau the Gov’t Was Slow on Countering Foreign Interference

By Iron Will / April 12, 2024 /

The director of Canada’s spy agency confirmed he warned the government about the need to do more to counter foreign interference, after he was recalled to testify before the inquiry into foreign interference on April 12.

“This is a line that I have used before,” Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) Director David Vigneault told the Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference.

Mr. Vigneault was commenting on a CSIS document identified as a briefing to the prime minister which says Canada is “slower” than its allies to counter foreign interference, and that there are no legal or political consequences for those conducting such activities in Canada.

He was recalled to the inquiry after that CSIS document and two others were tabled late in the proceedings. All three documents pertain to briefings Mr. Vigneault had provided to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

John Carpay: RCMP Report to Federal Government Sees Democracy as a Threat

By Iron Will / April 11, 2024 /

Politicians never take away your rights and freedoms without offering a pretext. Throughout history, tyrants have always justified their human rights abuses by appealing to the “public interest,” the “common good,” or some grand goal or vision.

Goals used by tyrants include national security, building a workers’ paradise, fighting communism, fighting fascism, fighting a virus, fighting terrorism, or restoring a nation’s honour, dignity, and rightful place among competing nations.

As just one example, Prime Minister Trudeau justified his illegal use of force against peaceful protesters in Ottawa in 2022 by falsely claiming there was a national emergency. He also asserted that the victims of his government’s violence were dangerous, violent, racist, white-supremacist criminals who wanted to overthrow the federal government.

We should remember “the tyrant’s pretext” when considering a secret RCMP report that warns the federal government about potential civil unrest coming to Canada when Canadians realize just how bleak their future economic situations are.
